Welcome to bigtime boating! 3 [ MID-AMERICA BOATING ] JANUARY 2025
Wall to wall boats, exhibits, and activities
are waiting for you at the Boat Show…
Nearly a half-million feet of boats, accessories, fishing gear, shows and activities
will fill the I-X Center when the Progressive Cleveland Boat Show, powered by
Toyota Tundra, drops anchor for four days, January 16-19.
“We’re expanding the show this year so dealers from around the state can display more
boats from their current large inventories, while also unveiling the new 2025 models being
received from manufacturers,” explains Michelle Burke, president of the Ohio Marine Trades
Association. “But, we’re still keeping the areas of good hands-on features, seminars, attractions
and family entertainment that make up a day at
the show so popular.”
More than 45,000 annual visitors are expected to
climb aboard a fleet of 400-plus new boats. From
simple paddleboards and kayaks to multi-engine
sportfisherman and luxury cruisers, exhibiting
dealers will present the widest variety in years.
Indeed, the 2025 event promises to offer the
best pricing and exclusive show-only discounts
attributed to higher dealer inventories, lower
financing costs, exclusive manufacturer “buy now”
promotions and rebate offers.
This year’s 68th annual edition of Ohio’s oldest
and largest boating and fishing expo has been sold
out of exhibit space for months with many first-time exhibits to add to the event’s excitement.
The show also promises to offer the best pricing and exclusive show-only discounts
attributed to higher current dealer inventories, lower financing costs, exclusive manufacturer
“buy now” promotions and rebate offers. In addition to early bird pricing, discounted boating
accessories, value-added services, package deals like combo dockage with winter storage
pricing will be available.
For the avid anglers, the show’s Fishing Section will boast a fleet of fishing craft, ranging from
the hottest new fish-equipped kayaks to 40-foot-plus triple-outboard-powered center consoles.
The boats will be surrounded by major fishing tackle and equipment exhibits. In addition, top
pros from the Lake Erie Walleye Trail will appear live daily on the Toyota Tundra Fishing Stage,
while even more angling demonstrations will take place atop the unique 5,000-gallon glass-
sided, fish-filled, Berkley Bass Aquarium presented by Vic’s Sportscenter.
To round out a day at the show, visitors will be able
to enjoy a wide range of educational seminars and
live demonstrations as well as family entertainment
attractions. A few examples include: a series of new
Progressive interactive and entertainment exhibits;
the Lake Erie Shores & Islands Main Stage with live
music and demonstrations; the On-The-Water-Ohio
Learning Center for all levels of boaters; the Kid’s
Discovery Zone featuring hands-on fun for the young;
not to mention popular daily performances by Twiggy
The Water-Skiing Squirrel.
